Spring Forward

Don’t miss Catalyst this Sunday, remember to SPRING FORWARD by one hour!

Donations For A Family In Need

Thank you to everyone who made donations this past Sunday for the family who lost everything in a house fire. Your generosity towards this family is amazing, and they are very appreciative.

If you have items that you would like to donate you can bring them with you this Sunday. If you have furniture that you would like to donate please email Ed at ed@catalystchurch.tv.

Get Plugged In

If you have been looking for a chance to get plugged in, this Sunday would be a great opportunity. Many of our leaders and volunteers will be attending a conference in South Carolina, so we will need YOUR help to setup and tear down on time. So come early, or stay late and get plugged in with either our setup or tear down crews. We will begin setup at 7:25am at Keigwin, and we look forward to seeing you there!

An Immediate Need In Our Community

Good Morning Catalyst Family!

Thursday morning, a family in our community, lost everything in a house fire.  They were able to escape safely, and are now living with close friends.  As a church this is our opportunity to be the church by meeting a physical need for this family.

There are two areas that we as a church can help.  The first is by donating clothing items.  The wife wears size 12 pants, and wears a medium or large shirt and the husband wears a medium or large shirt and medium pants.  The second area is by donating household items such as kitchen supplies, towels, hangers, etc.

Tomorrow we will have a donation area where you can drop off items for this family in their time of need.  This is our opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus to a family who could use some hope during a devastating time in their life.  Thank you for stepping up and being the church.

Building Updates

Here is a snapshot of our journey towards a new location:

  • Assumption that there must be a lot of options, if only we had an increase in giving and could afford the move
  • Huge miracle offering and commitments to give over 2012
  • Ability to start discussions
  • Search endless possibilities to find there are ONLY TWO options in all of Middletown (we have learned that Middletown has the lowest number of commercial space available of any town in Connecticut, combine that with our parking needs and we are facing limited opportunities…two, to be exact)
  • Look at both options, dream about both, have multiple conversations with both properties
  • HOPE!
  • DREAMS!
  • POSSIBILITIES
  • God is doing the miraculous
  • Reality
  • Both look like the doors have closed
  • Not gently closed
  • Slammed shut
  • Pray. Work. Seek other options. Pray
  • Nothing
  • Nothing
  • Nothing
  • Pray
  • Something
  • A conversation. A great conversation
  • An email, a phone call. Great potential
  • Both options, from out of nowhere, appear to once again be possibilities! At the same time. Options. Negotiating power!!!

Although both are currently very serious options (from out of nowhere), both have some very serious obstacles to hurdle. I am thankful that they are options again! However, we need to pray like never before, and be fully obedient to making the sacrifices necessary to see a move of God on our behalf.  Catalyst, if you want to remain in Middletown, now is the time to rise in prayer and obedience. I can’t wait to see how God works in you, our church, and on our behalf. Can I count on you to once again go all in?

Life change won’t happen in our community if there isn’t a lifestyle change in us!

Catalyst: Green or Orange?

There’s a possibility that we may change our colors.

We’d love to have you vote and maybe comment below on why.

What color has your vote? Go green, go orange. or stay red?
