With all of the excitement of Sunday and the great news I was able to share about some outreach initiatives we are running with on Easter, I totally forgot to let you know about something incredibly important… we are going to be baptizing people on Easter!

What if you are still unsure or if you still have questions? Go ahead and sign up, it doesn’t lock you into anything at all, but it gives us an opportunity to reach out and connect with you. We will take all of the time needed to answer all of your questions.

I love where our church is going. At times I’m frustrated by where we are. Sometimes it’s hard to remember that we are so young. At times I long to be closer to the church God is calling us to be. I have to remember that it takes time. We aren’t 30, or 15, or 5, or even 3 years old yet.

The great news is this… YOU could help Catalyst go further faster. YOU could make a huge difference in our church THIS WEEK! YOU could help us reach a community with the message of Jesus.

I want to take a few moments to share a few ways that YOUR involvement would make a HUGE difference this week:

CatalystKIDS

Every week children hear about Jesus in a safe and fun environment that was created just for them. We now have 5 environments and it takes a minimum of 10 leaders EVERY SUNDAY to create this safe and fun place for kids to learn about Jesus. There are currently less than 30 people volunteering in our kids environments (4 of whom are in there just about every single week). By serving, even once every 3 months, you would allow a current volunteer one more break AND you could be used by God to influence a child to chase after Jesus.

Tear Down

Want to help? Like to sleep? Not sure what you can do to really make a difference? This may be a perfect spot for you! Tear Down is a huge nightmare! According to our contract with Middletown, we need to be out of Keigwin School by 12:00. Unfortunately that NEVER happens. By jumping on board with our Tear Down team, you could help ensure we honor our commitment. This would be a significant help to our church and we’d love to see you start to serve the church and others through this opportunity.

We are hiring! There are so many areas of need that instead of going for one area of need, we are simply looking for the right person to help with several areas of need. Just a few thoughts as we look to find the right person…

* We ALWAYS look to hire from within FIRST – It’s easy to buy in to the vision at Catalyst Church for a paycheck. Hiring within allows us to find people who have already bought in and get our unique culture.
* You have to love Jesus – Period.
* Your family has to be on board – You AND your spouse must be completely bought in. Completely. This is a non-negotiable.
* You have to already be a giver – If you don’t already give to the vision of Catalyst Church – than I am not going to pay you to rob God.
* You must be a high capacity and teachable person – If you love to learn and you can get the job done – this is the perfect environment for you.
* You’ve got to be a FREAK about those far from God – When we say we are a church for those far from God – we mean it. If that bothers you – go sing songs with your 3 accountability partners in your Bible study – but don’t worry about applying here.
* You’ve got to be a person of character – Integrity is a big deal. Not looking for perfection – but I am looking for people who take living for Jesus very seriously.
* You’ve got to be an active partner – If you attend Catalyst Church and you aren’t serving- then I won’t give you a second look for a staff position.
* You’ve got to fit – You might be the most talented person in the world but if you don’t fit with our team chemistry it isn’t going to work.
* If you could picture yourself doing anything else anywhere else, do it – Catalyst Church isn’t a stepping stone. I want to do life and ministry with people who want to give their life to this vision, this church, and this state!
