I wasn’t expecting to get to Goal #5 today, but here we are! Thanks to the huge generosity of some great people we are now ready to roll out Goal #5 and our huge plans to be a big blessing to those in our community. We have an incredible desire to reach out to, to offer hope to, and to make an impact on the people living right here in our community. Here is just ONE of the things we hope to do in the next couple weeks…
Provide Free Backpacks and Supplies –
While providing backpacks to kids last year, we found that many students were using Stop & Shop bags to carry their books to school. We want to be a blessing to kids right here in Middletown and to their parents. We want these kids to go to school unashamed. We want parents to have a little more money to put other places (food, clothes, rent, etc). So, we are going to be providing backpacks AND school supplies for free.
Because we are Catalyst Church and because we serve an over the top generous God, we have a few other ideas up our sleeves! We really want to make a difference and impact the people in our community. We have some great ideas to make this a day the people in our community will remember…. BUT we need people like you to step up in a BIG way.
- Donate NEW Backpacks. We will be collecting new backpacks at Catalyst starting this Sunday. Next time you are at the store, why not pick up a few backpacks and bring them with you this Sunday!
- Donate financially. This would be a better option. It will allow us to buy them in huge bulk and receive a bigger discount. And, it will also allow us to purchase supplies in bulk at a far cheaper price than any individual will get from going to a store.
