Ready to throw in the towel?

Are you ready to give up? Quit? Move on? Call it a day (or a year)?

Are you ready to throw in the towel on your marriage?
On a relationship?
On your kids (I’ve got two daughters, in a few years I may be there too!)
On honoring God with your finances?
On people.
On trying to forgive.
On purity.
Or maybe, you are ready to give up on doing the right thing. Maybe it seems easier to just give in to temptation.

“It is not the critic who counts, not the one who points out how the strong man stumbled or how the doer of deeds might have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena. Whose face is marred with sweat and dust and blood, who strives valiantly, who errs and comes short again and again and again, who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions and spends himself in a worthy cause. The Bible puts it this way…”Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9

So, pick up that towel. Keep going. Maybe not for you, or for them, but for the Creator and Sustainer of the universe. Keep going, if for nothing else, to one day hear Jesus say to you “well done, my good and faithful servant.”
